Two-Day Grand Teton Wildlife Tour
A wildlife and wild landscape filled adventure beneath the mighty Teton Range in Jackson Hole.
Day 1: Southern Grand Teton National Park
Meet your Naturalist Guide before dawn at your lodging in beautiful Jackson, WY for the start of our two day wildlife safari! We’ll sip fresh french press coffee and enjoy a light breakfast on our way to wildlife hot spots in Grand Teton National Park.
Most wildlife are primarily active at dawn and dusk, so we’ll take advantage of the first few hours of the day to scan river bottoms and wildflower meadows for Elk, Moose, Eagles, Mule Deer, Bears, diverse songbird species and more.
As the day warms, we’ll have the option for a short Naturalist Walk to get a closer view of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Weather depending, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch with a Teton Mountain backdrop before our attention shifts to to the Sagebrush Flats of Grand Teton National Park. The parks bison and pronghorn herds roam here, we may also encounter coyotes or an elusive badger!
After an early dinner we enjoy an evening wildlife safari, watching the sunset over the 40 mile long Teton Range.

Enjoy breakfast with a view as we watch first light hit the top of Mount Moran at Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park. We’ll scan for osprey, great blue herons, waterfowl, beaver, otters other species in the Snake River, and search for elk herds and grizzly bears in the nearby meadows.
Our guides are in constant radio contact, helping maximize our chances for wildlife sightings. Throughout the day we’ll take advantage of lesser known back roads to avoid crowds and find wildlife.
After a scenic picnic lunch and optional Naturalist Hike we have the opportunity to visit a few more wildlife hotspots and historic landmarks including the Moulton Barns at Mormon Row. Our two day tour ends in the afternoon in Jackson, WY.
