Chris Wheeler was raised in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Nursing his passion for the outdoors and travel through ski racing. Chris found Jackson in 2005 on a whim in search of better snow and bigger mountains on a gap year from college. It was only after he moved here did he realize the majestic beauty of the landscape and the importance of having a tangible connection to the natural world that surrounds this great ecosystem.
Chris migrated to EcoTour Adventures having spent 13+ years working in the Jackson Hole Hospitality Industry running the Front Offices in some of Jackson’s prodigious lodging properties. He takes great care in connecting the Jackson Hole traveler to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, through his depth of knowledge of the region and having experienced many of the attractions and activities from a guest point of view.
When not in the office, you will typically find Chris chasing snow in the Tetons or relaxing on many of the valley’s lakeshore campsites accompanied by his wife, son and yellow lab Marcy.
