Lucas found his love for the outdoors growing up in the mountains of western North Carolina. After studying Recreation Management at Appalachian State University, he moved out west to the Rockies, the land his heart was leading him to. He worked as a wilderness ranger in the White River National Forest of Colorado for three years but realized he wanted not only a connection with the land but to share this connection with others as well. He also wanted to be in Jackson Hole as he has had many interactions with the area over the years – from working in the Grand Teton National Park in college to stopping in Jackson Hole on his bike ride across the country (and it being his favorite stop). In 2019, that move came and Lucas settled in the great state of Wyoming where he works as a ski instructor in the winter and guides for EcoTour Adventures in the summer.
In his free time, Lucas can be found running in the mountains of the Tetons and surrounding ranges, swimming in their many alpine lakes, and biking on the pristine pathways. He loves a good adventure and looks forward to showing you around this very special place.
